Ever since I was little and went with my dad to work, I have LOVED office supplies. I don’t know what it is – maybe the idea of feeling ‘grown up’ when I would look at all the pens and pads in the supply cabinet at my dad’s office (he was an entrepreneur, too). When I went out on my own I remember my first shopping trip to Office Depot to pick out my desk. It was an important milestone – this made it REAL. I was really starting my own business. Stocking up on post-it notes, paper clips, staples and that stupid desktop set with the pencil holder, business card holder, and inbox (which I still use but collect junk in it) made my business somehow feel legitimate. The business card was the next step towards cementing my entrepreneurial fate. I had to make my business successful now or what else would I do with all these supplies?
This was, of course, back in 1995 before the emergence of the bulk office supplies at Costco or Sam’s Club. While I will buy some supplies there, I don’t really need 50 Sharpie pens and it would take me 10 years to get through 20 steno pads. I also buy some products online, but every once in a while I just have to go back to The Mother Ship – the office supply store.
Just this evening I had to run out to pick up some raffle tickets for my daughters and I found myself lingering. While most people likely pour over the electronic devices, I was looking at the new types of organizers, the vast array of pens and pencils, and just about every kind of removable-sticky-paper-thing I could have ever imagined. I even stopped to marvel at the fact that they still sell WHITE OUT! Anyone have any idea what it is still used for? I mean, isn’t that what the backspace key is for?
How about you – do office supplies have that same magical effect on you or is a pen really just a pen?

I’m searching for online posts that share ideas on various topics. Until I came thru yours. Learned a lot reading it. Thanks for sharing..
My dad worked in the card industry when I was small so there was much chance for this type of fun, but now he has retired and set up a little study at home, I love spending time in there, seeing what are the latest bits and bobs he has bought.
I just use whatever needed, what I find funny is 0.9 led is cheaper than .7 or .5

There is obviously a lot to know about this. You have some pretty cool office supplies here. I think you made some good points in your post also. Keep working ,great job!
Oh. My. God. I am totally the same as you! Always as a child I would linger in the stationary sections of shops and if we were ever furniture shopping I would run to the office section and sit at on of the impressive desks and pretend I was all grown up! I am still a student but just recently got a summer job working in an office and I get so excited when they bring in new supplies to stock up the supply closet. And having my own desk with 2 monitors and a netbook and a phone and numerous drawers full of office goodies is just the most awesome thing ever!!
1.Although planes and trains are much faster and also buses and cars are popular way of getting around Europe, but UK to Europe ferries is a great way of traveling.
2.Traveling by UK to Europe ferries can be a mixed pleasure, while bad weather and choppy sea waves can sometimes make the whole experience and certainly not something that you can experience on a plane.
3. Traveling and Booking ferries has never been simpler or cheaper especially if it is from UK to Europe ferries.
I get always lost in the Office Supplyers Isles, but I dont buy a lot because I know will take me long time to use them and probabily I will have to give away.
Nah I just use the same things as always like Mechanical pencils, etc.

Office supplies now encompass a wide variety of stationery and accessories spoiling you for choice. Things have got cheaper as bulk supply has become common, retailers often trying to bulk sell you instead of the traditional single item retail. To some stationery lovers, the sweet odour of new accessories makes them fond of getting various varieties they could lay their hands upon. Buying stationery offline is the best idea for low value items as you get to get the feel of the item before owning it. Online shopping is ideal for businesses and bulk buyers who are after value for money on larger purchases.

Thats a lovely story. My kids are the same now, they enjoy rummaging with the pens and pencils in my home office. The eldest thinks hes the manager and likes to tell me off for not working hard enough.
Not necessarily, I prefer to use modern office utensils when I am doing my work though.
